We cross the Golden Gate on our way to Sausalito, an arty little town on the northern side. 1988 Early1988 0023 a this is the way the suspender cables attach to the main cables. Downtown San Francisco. The Transamerica building is the pointed one. It was the tallest building in San Francisco from its completion in 1972 until 2018.
Alcatraz Island; now a tourist spot.  It was shut in 1973 as an economic and social disaster costing more than $90/day/per person; more than the Waldorf Astoria. Sausalito is a trendy area with lots of high end stores and restaurants. This is typical of the neat little stores in the area. The Fanchers and Jenni wander in front.

The guest speaker has a lot of sensible things to say. Two of Jenni's study group, Caroline and Polly, come to our place to work.

Miyako had prepared a marvelous Japanese meal. Sunday June 26, 1988>   Next day we go flying at Mile Square Park.  I'm flying my plane and it feels unresponsive, so I let it run out of fuel and land. After it lands, I can see that a pin has fallen out of the controls and has disconnected the elevators. Look at the flaps fully down but the elevators are in Neutral.
