It is 60kms from Kuala Lumpur in Selangor State and is 5.54 kms in length. It is everything that Phillip Island isn't: clean, modern, excellent facilities for spectators, toilets that work, food that you can eat, etc. And unlike Phillip Island, It usually produces boring, processional racing.

10 Round 15 - Sepang, Malaysia, Sunday, October 25, 2009 Casey rode an amazing race. He rode away and, by lap 14, had created an 18 second gap back to Pedrosa in second. He then slowed to match Pedrosa's pace and then slowed some more over the final two laps. He won by 14.6 seconds.

Lorenzo came in fourth over 6 seconds behind. Hayden straggled in 38 seconds behind the leader and the rest of the field was even more spread out. That's the type of racing that the Sepang circuit produces, even when it's raining and things should be more equal.
12 Round 15 - Sepang, Malaysia, Sunday, October 25, 2009 At turn 7, Rossi's fan club was waiting for him and they produced a live chicken replete with Rossi's colours, helmet and T Shirt. All very funny but no English speaking person got the joke. Gallina Vechia means Old Hen. Still no one understood the joke although it was obvious that Rossi was laughing at himself - somehow.
13 Round 15 - Sepang, Malaysia, Sunday, October 25, 2009 At parc ferme Jorge Lorenzo came to offer his congratulations to Rossi. Rossi knows his time at the top is coming to a close as do Lorenzo and Stoner.
14 Round 15 - Sepang, Malaysia, Sunday, October 25, 2009 This was Pedrosa's first podium in the wet and he said that it felt just like his first podium. Despite missing three rounds, this was Casey's fourth win of the season. Notice the egg that Rossi is holding.
15 Round 15 - Sepang, Malaysia, Sunday, October 25, 2009 The joke: it's an old Italian saying that old hens make good soup but they can't lay eggs. Rossi is saying that the old hen has just laid its ninth egg. He even had a special helmet made with the old hen theme.
16 Round 15 - Sepang, Malaysia, Sunday, October 25, 2009 Rossi paid tribute to his team but made special mention of crew chief Jerry Burgess. Burgess is nearing retirement - he's won thirteen GPs - but said he'll stay for as long as Rossi continues racing.
17 Round 15 - Sepang, Malaysia, Sunday, October 25, 2009 Look at the gaps - dreadful! Toseland came home nearly two minutes after the leader. That's nearly a full lap. He worked hard to lose his MotoGP ride.
18 Round 15 - Sepang, Malaysia, Sunday, October 25, 2009 If Rossi comes third or better at the final round in Valencia, he'll break 300 points. This is not necessarily going to happen as his competition is strong and Valencia is one of his less successful tracks. It's depressing to think that the season's nearly over.
