2025Coffs

We visit Coffs Harbour to visit Joan & Roger, Lee & Scott and Roger's family
28th December, 2025 Our first stop was at the Lime Restaurant Mexican in Sawtell on our way to Bonnie's place. It was excellent and one of the best Mexican meals I've ever had. 28th December, 2025 Then it was on to meet Bonnie at Toormina, a suburb of Coffs Harbour 28th December, 2025 She was pleased to see us. This picture was taken in the guest room we had rented overnight from the Retirement Village Bonnie now lives in. It was a regular size double bed and too small for me. 28th December, 2025 Bonnie took us to dinner at the village restaurant. Unfortunately, I was still full from the large Mexican meal we'd had and couldn't do it justice. Nothing wrong with the meal though.
29th December, 2025 The next day we met my sister Joan and husband Roger for lunch at the Coff's Harbour SLS club. I was delighted that Lee and Scott were able to join us. Lee is my most favouritist niece. 29th December, 2025 Joan and Roger. 29th December, 2025 Joan and Roger joined by Lee, their daughter. 29th December, 2025 Bonnie also joined us. Bonnie no longer holds a driver license but getting around is not much of a problem for her. There are local buses and taxis; Bonnie loves that she can get into and back from Coffs for $1.50.
29th December, 2025 A beautiful sunset graces the western sky over the village. Bloody hell but Australia has some beautiful spots. 30th December, 2025 The next morning we meet up again with Bonnie (at a restaurant opposite the Mexican restaurant in Sawtell) for breakfast. From here, it is straight back home all the way with Jenni driving and doing an excellent job. PS. My Driver License is now restricted to a 10 km radius from our home - my choice. 30th December, 2025 After our breakfast in Sawtell, we headed for the highway and got home out about 3 pm. Lovely weekend. Return to Home Page
