Wednesday 06, March 2024 After yesterday's excitement, we decide to take it easy today; as do our macropodic friends. Wednesday 06, March 2024 I'm not walking all that well, so we decide to take a look at the Botanic Gardens. These were nearly destroyed by fire when we visited in February 2021. Wednesday 06, March 2024 Kangaroos rest at the end of of the reed bed. We're doing a circular loop to the exit as I'm tiring very quickly. We're due to meet Steve soon. Wednesday 06, March 2024 SHIRE OF EUROBODALLA THIS ANCHOR, RAISED FROM THE TOMAGA RIVER WHERE IT HAD SERVED AS AN AID TO NAVIGATION DURING THE EARLY PART OF THIS CENTURY, WAS ERECTED BY THE EUROBODALLA SHIRE COUNCIL TO  COMMEMORATE THE BI-CENTENARY OF CAPTAIN COOK'S HISTORIC VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY ALONG THE N.S.W. COASTLINE, PASSING TOMHANHGAN (THE ABORIGINAL NAME FOR THE RJVER) ON THIS DAY 200 YEARS AGO.  IT ALSO RECALLS THE SIGNIFICANT PART PLAYED BY THE MARITIME SERVICES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS REGION IN THE EARLY DAYS OF SETTLEMENT.  A. E.
