The aerodynamics is amazing. Why is there a leading edge droop? Aerodynamically, there needs to be a sharp leading edge on the cockpit, engines and wings to fly at supersonic speeds to prevent the formation of a bow shockwave ahead of the leading edge of the surface as this significantly increases drag. I gather this droop helps at high angles of attack.
