1989 Travels with the Percies

February, 1989     Jenni has returned from the USA and we go with Dennis and Bonnie to Wiseman's Ferry It rains. We have junk food under a tree to keep out of the rain. On the way back home (at D&B's place) a car coming from the opposite direction crashes into us. It does a fair bit of damage to Denis' car.
February, 1989    Jenni, Bonnie and I visit the Norman Lindsay Museum at Spring wood. We have a Devonshire Tea here. Gorgeous women, both of them. This is the original part of the building built in the late 1800s.
I think maybe Lindsay was a breasts man. The swimming pool at the museum. After the museum, the three of us visit Yestergrange; this is the main dining room. We have lunch in the restaurant. We have real tea served in real China.
The pumpkin soup and the decore are great. This is a view from the front porch of Yestergrange. This is a beautiful view looking up the Jamison Valley. Yestergrange was built in the late 1800s and is all timber construction.
It became the summer residence of one of the early New South Wales premiers. Who says politics does not pay? We cross over a stream on our way to the Wentworth Falls. This is not the Wentworth Falls, it is a waterfall on the way there.
This is the Jamison Valley; the view is stunning. You can see the layers of sandstone that were laid down 250 million years ago. More waterfalls on the way down. These are the Wentworth Falls. About halfway down a Pommy jogger takes our photo.
We hike to the bottom of the falls. It's nearly kills us so we take a break. This young bird looks like a university student. She is enchantingly beautiful. . . . to be greeted with pouring rain.
Beautiful stained glass and chandelier. We reach the very bottom of the Wentworth Falls and hike back up . . . We are staying with Dennis and Bonnie and Andrew is on his way to spend a weekend jumping off cliffs.
