At the Park Ranger's Cabin, Jenni Picks up a brochure that she thinks may be of interest. The amazing gallery of formations and folds of sandstone, siltstone, shale, granite and basalt along Eurobodalla's coast date back as far as 510 million years. The coastline itself was shaped around 90 to 10 million years ago when the Lord Howe Rise rifted away from what is now the south-east coast."
Of interest: This rifting is what pushed NZ to its current location in the Pacific.
