Monday, 13 March 2023 We parked near the Alba train station & walked to the old town area that delightfully, is all pedestrian.  Alba is famous for white truffles (not to my taste but Sussie is a truffle fan).  The buildings in this street, Via Vittorio Emmanuelle II, are beautiful. Monday, 13 March 2023 We stopped in the first truffle shop we came across that was open (it's Monday; many shops are closed because they've been open all weekend).  This shop specialised in truffles & funghi. Monday, 13 March 2023 I bought chocolate!! Monday, 13 March 2023 The Chiesa della Maddalena, completed in 1749 but the facade remains unfinished.  It's in the late Baroque style & was built on the site of chapel established in 1442.
