The Grumman F-14A Tomcat is the last of Grumman's Cat series of Naval fighters. The F14 entered service on the USS Enterprise in 1974 and flew some of the last combat missions over Vietnam . It was retired from the active U.S. Navy fleet on 22 September 2006.
