We leave for the USA tomorrow, but today Bonnie is in hospital being operated on for bowel cancer. Dennis phoned to tell us that her operation was a success; no remaining cancer.

We called in to see Bonnie at the hospital. She's heavily sedated and later doesn't remember that we called in. It was a very serious operation with high risk but thankfully the operation was a success.

We stop overnight in Blythe on the CA/AZ border. That's our Alamo Chevvy Cavalier in the centre; very bland, very ordinary. On this trip, I'm using my brand-new state-of-the-art Sony Cybershot with a breathtaking 3 megapixels. Woohoo!
